Before we left Williamsburg yesterday, Randl attended a lecture on gardening and I did some fun shopping at the Williamsburg Marketplace. Then we returned to Charlottesville to stay with the Harris family for a couple of days. Today we all went to visit Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's Virginia home. On such a gorgeous day (temperature in the high 70s and a light breeze), it was easy to understand why Jefferson loved this place so much. And it was ever so much more enjoyable for us to have Becca and Mike and Jack with us. Jefferson's grandchildren once played in this same house and on these same grounds. It's definitely a family place.
[Sorry I have two of the same picture, but I can't figure out how to delete one of them.]
