The Parry Vann Family

I had a beautiful drive from Bismarck to Minneapolis yesterday, arriving in the mid-afternoon at the home of Susan Parry, her husband Bill Vann and their charming children, Willa and Oscar. I had such a delightful time. Willa entertained me with some fabulous songs--"Five Little Doughnuts" and "The Frog Song"--complete with actions (she does a very convincing frog imitation). Oscar was a little slower to warm up to me, but he did let me hold him so he could watch his mom and Willa cut up some scrumptious fresh vegetables for dinner. It was fun to visit with Susan and Bill, get to know these cute kids and see what a good life they have made for themselves in Minnesota. As I left there this morning, Willa was helping her dad make oatmeal for Susan for her Mother's Day breakfast and Oscar was happily eating a bowl of applesauce (with his fingers, of course). And of course, I can't forget the dog, Milo, who is every bit as charming as the rest of the family.

  1. So jealous that you got to see one of my favorite families. We miss them around here. Jack and Willa are great playmates and Susan and I are sure that Oscar and Addy could rule the world with their strong personalities. Glad you were able to stay over with them. Safe travels.

  2. Thank you for visiting two of the cutest grandchildren in the world and surely the very cutest & smartest in all of Minnesota! I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but they truly are as cute as I said they were. Right? Thanks for visiting them and their parents.
